I write children's fantasy. Some people say that this is a way to experience a second childhood. I say I'm still enjoying my first.

Background Information

I was born in 1952 and spent the first ten years of my life in different parts of Germany and Britain. My family and myself (of course) emigrated in 1962 to Australia on the 10 pound-pom scheme. When I finished my schooling I became a designer and colour-seperator in the textile industry. From there I married and had two children, my son, Jason and my daughter, Bodene. I am now retired from the work force, but definately not from life. I have been a commisioned artist in most mediums, a free-lance designer (again for the textile industry) and even worked on a farm. I am an avid reader and out of curiosity I decided to put pen to paper and see what I could come up with. During the twenty years or so I have been playing with words I have ventured into the art of writing poetry, had a go at the Stephen King genre, tried my hand at younger children's book, with the addition of illustrations, but it was only when I started reading and enjoying children's book of the 9 to 15 year old bracket that I found my niche. I have since written two books in a series, with a third under way. My first title ' Merlin's School for Ordinary Children - The Ring of Curses'', is now in the process of being published for the commercial market. I now live on the east coast of Tasmania in a small seaside town called Bicheno.

Birth Place
Berlin,  Germany

I have gained a certificate in Graphic Design as well as completed several creative writing courses. I have played in the local theatre productions of Cinderella, Don't Just Lie There, Say Something, and The Wizard of Oz. I have directed two productions, 100 Years of Music and Fashion, and the Rocky Horror Show (in which I also played the character of Magenta). I co-founded The Bicheno Camp Quality Support Group in 1997. And for about twelve months I wrote a book review for the local newsletter.

Additional Information

A lot of people who purchase books online don't leave a review. A review is not about feeding an author's ego ... it's about you - the reader - your opinions, your ideas, your likes and dislikes. So ... go for it ... have your say! We'd love to hear from you.
