Son of an Irish country GP. Brought up in Southern and Northern Ireland, student in Belfast during political upheavals of late 1960s/early 1970s. Ran a pirate radio station. Lived communally in a number of very idealistic (anarchist inspired) groups. Launched, edited & contributed to various Northern Ireland student publications. Has lived in London since mid 1970s doing generally similar but less exciting things. Travelled the world as a tourist/diver/nature-lover.

Achievements: Survived for fifty-nine years on surface of planet earth, sanity relatively intact. Managed to remain good friends with my daughter throughout her teenage years.
Certification: PADI Open-Water Diver. Licenced Radio Amateur. M.A. in Philosophy from London University. Awards: Have won or been placed in a few short story competitions over the years. Regularly won the school High Jump as a boy due to length of legs.
