I started reading poetry during a high school English class when the teacher introduced me to the great poets. Two of my favorites are Eilzabeth Barret Browning and Rudyard Kipling, but when I found the Japanese Haiku poets like Basho, Buson and Isssa I became facinated with Haiku. I started writing Haiku again a few years ago and I am still intrigued with it. I am fairly new to rhyming poetry but I really enjoy trying a new style. I hope you find something in my writing that you will enjoy.
Accomplishments: My traditional and free style Haiku has been published in Japan, and I have received several top awards also.
