I was born in Washington DC. My major influences are my mother, Elnora Lindsay and my late father, Cleveland Lindsay. A lot of people thought it was crazy for a little black girl from the inner city to want to be a writer but my parents didn't listen to those folks and encouraged me in every way.
Other than my parents I was deeply influenced by Professor Thomas Sowell and Professor Walter Williams. For academics these two guys sure can write! Other favorites are Noemie Emery, Michelle Malkin, Deb Weiss and on occasion, Joeseph Sobran.
When I'm not writing, reading a book--I read at least two a week or I'm not happy--I usually out promoting my books, traveling with my husband, Rodney Wilson or collecting Black American and African art.
