One evening, as I read a current romance, I realized the hero's mother (an integral part of the plot) had disappeared and she never returned. To this day, I have no idea what happened to that poor woman. Also, the hero's brother arrived, then never got another mention. The heroine's blue eyes changed to green and then brown. By the time I finished that book, I KNEW I could write a better book! Full of enthusiasm, I pulled out the typewriter, a package of paper and began -------------

THE GREAT AMERICAN ROMANCE.

My daughter asked what I was doing.

"I'm writing a book," I told her.
"Oh yea, Ma! When cows fly!!!!"

I dedicated the book to my children exhorting them to look up!


"Cows Can Fly!"
 

I taught high school and junior high for years! Believe it or not, that is a major achievement.

Heartsong, coming in August, 2008 is probably my favorite book. My husband loves it - so its got to be good!
