I've been called June Cleaver (with apron, without the heels); there are a few of us left! I have always loved to cook and create new recipes. As I learned more about nutrition and its relationship to our overall health, I began to focus on preparing low glycemic and low carb dishes. Now I'm having fun editing and cooking up new recipes for ShakeOffTheSugar.net, hoping to help others.

Lynn Stephens has always had a special interest in nutrition and creating delicious, healthy dishes. After discovering the benefits of a low carb/low glycemic diet and seeing the results in her own family, she began to compile her new recipes, along with the practical tips and strategies she learned from research and experience. During this time, she dropped from a size 12 to a size 6/8 and has kept her weight off for more than six years. She saw her husband’s triglycerides drop by more than 100 points and other family members had improved blood chemistries by eating dishes prepared from her recipes and following the precepts of a healthy controlled carbohydrate diet. Lynn is now editor of www.ShakeOffTheSugar.net, where she publishes newly developed low carbohydrate and low glycemic recipes, along with nutrition information. It is her hope that others will also reap the benefits of this healthy diet, whether they have an issue with insulin or simply would like to change to a healthy controlled carbohydrate diet.
