Why do I write? I'm not sure, but each time I want to stop I am pulled back to the page. As a freelance journalist, capturing excitement and telling another's person story is thrilling are rewarding, especially when enlightening the reader. My theater reviews and profiles have appeared in numerous publications such as Dutchess Magazine, Gannett Poughkeepsie Journal, Taconic Weekend and Tri-county Woman.
When I'm not writing fiction, I'm an adjunct professor, using my editorial, writing and speaking skills to teach college students English 101: Essay Composition. When I'm not in the classroom or in my fictional world, I'm preparing and planning the Art Scene for the Dutchess County Arts Council.
Prior to teaching at the college, I served two years as a newspaper editor for Millbrook Round Table and The Voice Ledger. And five years prior a freelancer for Poughkeepsie Journal.
