"Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated." -Mark Twain-

Background Information

My greatest influence in a word is, "Malevolence". Included in this umbrella adjective are; cruelty, greed, prejudice, hostility, hubris, hatred, social injustice, caste systems, violence, war, conditional values, religious superiority, turgid egos and failure to act in the face of any of the above.

Sounds naive? Probably so, given the extent of inhumanity in the world. Nevertheless, in the words of the immortal Popeye, "I yam, what I yam!".

I have hunkered down in the trenches of life since the first time I saw my mother cry. It was November of 1963. I asked her, "Why are you crying?" She said, "They killed the President."

I thought, if they can kill the President, they can kill me!

Accomplishments

1961-Letter of Reprimand- Led raid at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan- Graduate Housing Laundry Room.

1964 Blue Ribbon- Battle of The Kites-Northern Illinois University.

1964-Fall Northern Illinois University Homecoming Queen Crown Bearer and technical adviser for Homecoming King in his efforts to do the right thing during the coronation ceremony,(He missed the rehearsal)!

1966-DeKalb, Illinois-Sold the most chocolate bars of all prospective eight,(8) year old little league participants.

1966-Finally learned to write cursive as a left hander.

1967-The youngest "Hippie" in the Haight-Ashbury District of San Francisco who could read the "Berkeley Barb".

1967- Summer- Received a three color pen from the sponsor of my little league baseball team for hitting a double and triple.

1967- Fall- Won a Hula-Hoop in a raffle at the local Fox Theater while attending a matinée.
The rest is a fog!

Oh' of course, now I remember!

B.A. & J.D. then a strange series of unrelated, incongruous, jobs, events and adventures. Wandered the U.S., hung out, over ate at casinos, lost myself, found myself, lost my self again and have almost found "it".

Wandered Asia for six years. Returned home to a different land, as foreign as the Golden Triangle.

Traveled, risked, discovered, created, dreamed
delusions of grandeur, dreamed delusions of simplicity!

But "No matter where I went, there I was!"

Additional Information

"There are more things in heaven and earth Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophies." - Bill Shakespeare- & "Change your socks daily."
