One of my first memories was seeing my mother, with her stack of books beside her, reading.
"When you're old enough, you will learn to read," she would tell me. Impatient, I began to figure out the strange symbols on labels of cans in the kitchen. The first word I really learned, though, was "and".... AND that was only the beginning of my story. I was in school by age 5, but could read most of the words in a newspaper already.
It was inevitable that this lust for reading turned into passion for writing, putting words together to create concepts, pictures.
As to my background... maybe I'll tell that story another time. In any case, who I am is not so important as what I am.
I am a writer.
