I was a strange child- still am- have always been a dreamer, a loner with the ability to see what wasn't supposed to be seen through mortal eyes. The death of my only child, a son inspired me to write my first novel, \\\''Whisper on the Wind\\\'' which was released in Dec. of 2005. The book is about growing up poor in the Appalchian hills of Ky- about the death of a two year old child, and how this child broke the rules of death after 60 long years in a radical act of escaping from the grave- then loosing its freedom by falling in love with a five year old mortal and becoming earthbound.
This two year child explains its death experience, its thoughts, its emotion during the long years before the awakening, and the happy childhood years spent with the mortal.
After the mortal grows up she leaves the hills and the ghost child behind never once looking back, and it is only when she is taken to heaven does she remember.
Thrown out of heaven along with her white umbrella cockatoo- Michael the Warrior has to descend into hell where again the little imps are rejected.
He takes the two imps to live in a cold dark place of ice and rocks which is known as the Asteroid Belt.
Although the story is sad, comical and sometimes just down right shocking, I consider it to be a love story.
