It was during elementary school in her fifth grade spelling class that Teresa Patterson discovered she had the gift to captivate an audience with her short stories. As a teen she went on to create more than two hundred poems about her life, love, experiences, and heartache. During high school she wrote her first fictional novel.
When she was in her early twenties, Miss Patterson was fortunate enough to have some of her works published. She knew that she wanted to share more of her writings with the world and decided to do just that.
Her debut novel, It’s Your World, Black Girl! was published in 2005. She had two more urban fiction novels, Project Queen and Uncrossing Her Legs published in 2008. Dealing with non-traditional publishers gave her the push that she needed to learn more about the publishing industry. In 2009 she decided to self-publish future works under her own publishing company, Edit Again Publications. Ex-boyfriend was written and published March 2009.
Teresa D. Patterson attended St. Petersburg College and has a degree in business. She lives in Florida with her two sons and is working on future writing projects, which include Project Queen II, Ex-boyfriend II, and A Song for Desiree.
