What began as a hobby turned into a full-time writing career at age 40.  I worked first as a freelance journalist and humor columnist for more than a decade before my first book, Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road, was published in 2006. The book has been featured on WFAA (an ABC affiliate) Good Morning Texas and other TV and radio programs.

My latest book, Deedee Divine's Totally Skewed Guide to Life (Corncob Press), was released in November 2008. The title was a finalist in the ForeWord Magazine 2008 Book of the Year Awards and the National Best Books 2009 Awards . 

I am currently working on a screenplay, set in the 1970s, that addresses how the desire for acceptance--and the extent to which we achieve or fail to achieve it--influences life outcomes.
