I am truly blessed. I am a newly invoked San Diegan since being displaced by Hurricane Katrina damaged New Orleans. I have been writing for quite some time, nearly all my life. I have always been a very shy person and writing was the only way I could feel comfort

Thank God for my mother who raised three of us as a single parent. She has always been an inspiration to me. I can honestly say that there has never been a time when I would ask my mom a question she could not answer.

I have never received any prestigious awards for my writing, at least not any that would be considered prestigious to most.......Literary awards that I received while in school are prestigious to me and also to my mom.
