I started writing in fourth grade and couldn't quit. Writing is the best way I know to explore myself and the world. I hold a BA in Art and English, but did not start writing in earnest until 1995. Now I write for magazines and newspapers, regionally and nationally, and I love it all! I also do business writing for small businesses; things such as press releases, web content, articles, etcetera. I've taught writing memoir and family history, and writing one's own memoir or history is something I believe everyone should do.
