Hi, my name is Marie Lotze better known as The Countess. I grew up in a little border town in Washington State, Northport, I lived in the green house on the corner behind the Presbyterian church. All my life I dreamed of getting out of Northport and being famous! I think you know what I mean, you can only drive up and down main street from Annie News cafe to Olmsteads house so many times! Recently my book Here I Shall Stay Memoirs of Vampire was published! Don’t let the title throw you...the book is not morbid, nor gory, nor overly shocking...and it doesn't glorify vampires. The book is an insightful, beautifully written story about choices and consequences...about life, death, and living death. A lot of it is open to interpretation.
I chose to use the pseudo name, The Countess, as it seemed to lend more mystery to the book! My writing style is Unique, most short story/poetry books do not tell a story within the story, sort of like Shakespeare's Hamlet does. Here I Shall Stay: Memoirs of a Vampire is one continuous book of short stories/poetry, with a beginning and an end.
Here I Shall Stay Memoris of a Vampire is a collection of poetry and prose that relates an introspective chronicle of the life of an archaic Vampire. When an ancient
tomb is found hidden deep within the confines of a primeval castle, the contents are revealed to be the diary of an extremely old and long-forgotten vampire. Using a mixture of poetry and prose, the diary appears to recount the life of the
vampire, among others. In addition, several selections of verse communicate the Vampire's immortal journey and include meditative observations of the vampire's existence.
