My lifelong desire has been to be a writer, ever since putting out a family newsletter when I was 10 years old. In 2000 I wrote "Mind Magic, Techniques for Transforming Your Life," as an aide for my clients so they would have specific techniques they could work with when they left my psychotherapy office. Now retired and living a mile from the Pacific Ocean, in Long Beach, California, I finally have time to read and write, the joys of my life!

I'm a California state licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a B.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State University, an M.A. from San Jose State University and a Ph.D from Newport International University. I'm a retired psychotherapist who had a private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area for 25 years.

I spent about 7 years writing "Remembrances of Times Past," which is a nostalgic collection of stories and photographs recalling the way life used to be in the early part of the 20th Century. I collected over 200 stories from friends and strangers, including 250 old black and white photos that they graciously donated from their albums. Although putting together this book was extremely time-consuming, it was also a sentimental journey back to a time of radio days, manual typewriters, vinyl long-playing records, stay-at-home moms and strict rules of etiquette. Recalling these memories of days gone by was a fun project!
