Dr.Nilanshu Kumar Agarwal is currently Associate Professor of English at Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli, (U.P.), India.

Background Information

Nilanshu Kumar Agarwal is Associate Professor of English at Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli, (U.P.), India. He received his doctorate on T.S. Eliot from Allahabad University. His research interests include Indian aesthetics, diaspora and contemporary critical theory. Editor of the volumes on Stephen Gill (New Delhi: Authorspress, 2008) and World Literatures (Jaipur: YKing Books,2011) his Indian English Literature: A Critical Casebook (Howrah: Roman Books. co-authored with Ramendranath Datta and Kanwar Dinesh Singh) is to be published shortly. Agarwal’s interviews with a number of contemporary writers (including Tabish Khair, Sunny Singh and Fawzia Afzal Khan), as well as his research papers, book reviews, articles and poems have appeared in, for example, South Asian Review, Connecting to India (Department of Oriental Studies University of Turin, Italy), Summerhill: IIAS Review (Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla), Pakistaniaat: A Journal of Pakistan Studies (Department of English, Kent State University), and other journals and anthologies. He recently participated in the study week on Abhinavgupta, held at IIAS, Shimla. He is the editor-in-chief of Parnassus: An Innovative Journal of Literary Criticism (ISSN 0975-0266).
