(Be sure to listen to the podcast.)
Zebulon, a Civil War soldier, has wandered the streets of Richmond, Virginia since his death looking for true love. Abigail Willis, because of a familial trait, is able to see Zebulon once she reaches menopause.
Although everyone else thinks she's crazy, she falls in love with him which causes her to lose her job and many of her friends.
Between her grandmother, who insists she's Anastasia Romanov, the thirty-bedroom mansion she can't afford, and the one hundred-fifty pounds she needs to lose, Raquel thinks she's going crazy.
Abel Rollins, the ghost only Raquel's grandmother can see, has a different opinion. He loves Raquel the way she is and he sets out to make sure she doesn't have that surgery. According to Abel, hospitals are bad news. After all, he died in one from mustard gas in World War I.
Dreams of Chimborazo
While Ravenel is busy trying to get the Yankees out of Virginia, Evie, a genealogist, begins to see him. He's always in a Confederate uniform so she reasons he's a Civil War re-enactor.
The problem is they live in two worlds - he lives in 1864 and she lives in 2007.
