Cindy Jones has a background in natural products, biochemistry, microbiology and medical research with a Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati. She has done research in both plant products and human cell biology and oncology. Her interest in science led her to independent study in herbs as medicine.
Currently, she formulates cosmetics products under the name Colorado Aromatics. She continues to write educational articles on health and skin care. Her interests lie in the effects of phytochemicals on physiology, specifically on skin benefits. She is devoted to educating people on the benefits of plants, both economical and medical. She owns Sagescript Institute, LLC a company that produces herbal distillates, botanical extracts, skin care products as well as providing education and microbiology services for the cosmetics industry.

Cindy Jones is the author of "The Antibiotic Alternative:The Natural Guide to Fighting Infection and Maintaining a Healthy Immune System", "Herbs for Healthy Skin" and "Healthy Heart Guide". She has written numerous monographs for physicians and the pharmaceutical industry as well as magazine articles for the lay reader. She was a contributing writer and editor for “The Herbal Drugstore” by Linda B. White and Steven Foster.
As an educator, Dr. Jones lecturs on physiology and biochemistry at several local colleges. She also teaches and lectures in the community on the properties and uses of herbs for adult continuing education programs.
When time permits she makes soaps and skin care products from the herbs she grows in her garden.
She lives in Denver, Colorado where she tends her herb garden, husband and two sons.
