Pacific Islander of Mixed ethnicity which contributed to initial angst about 'belonging' and existential questioning of 'who am i?/what am i?' which heavily influenced my early works. Other influences include - the state of the world, people, reading, nature, family, emotion especially love.. great writers and artists.. love e.e. Cummings, Pablo Neruda...poetry of Michelangelo's works, the sensuality of the lines,.. the poetry of dance...have always been intrigued by 'Song of Solomon' as both erotic-poetry as well as the metaphoric relationship between God and his people... Every experience... the soft, the hard, the tender, the disappointment, the passion, the fear, the pain... all of it influences me...

first collection "Of Schizophrenic Voices" was published in 2003. I have also published numerous poems in journals online and print...I am working on three collections at the moment.

I teach Curriculum Studies at the University. AM currently exploring ways of using erotic-poetry - dance and audio-visual media.. painting and poetry... poetry and dance.
