A major influence on my life choices was my mother's courage. I learned from her to pour my negative feelings and experiences into creative outlets. Poetry and prose are those outlets for me. I've always been a small town girl, reclusive and just a little eccentric around the edges. Writing broadens my parameters. I can travel the world in spirit if not in reality.

My Name is Esther Clara will be in the running for the Kansas Notable Book Award in 2007. My grandparents would be so proud to know a book about them has been written, and the heavens will no doubt ring with rejoicing if their book should happen to win an award of any kind.

I enjoy my work as a reviewer but have had to cut back a bit because of vision problems.
A poetry book, Color of Laughter, Color of Tears, featuring poetry written by Stephen R. Sulik and myself was published in 2004 by Winterwolf Publishing. Unfortunately, Winterwolf has now closed its doors. I'm working on a new book of poetry now.
All my books are written from the heart, regardless of their subject or genre.

Interesting book, good writer, loyal friend and great guy. Read all about him at his website. He maintains a fantastic blog for those who enjoy political commentaries.
