I was born and raised in the beautiful wine country of Northern California. I graduated from Healdsburg High in 1976 then joined the U.S. Army a year later. After three years I received an honorable discharge and moved back to Healdsburg. I met my husband, Robert, the following year. We got married in 1983 and we're still together! After 15 years of marriage, we adopted a baby girl, and she is truly a gift from God. We currently live in a small town in Shasta County. The town is so small it doesn't even have a traffic light or a gas station.
Although it took a few years to realize my God-given potential as a writer, I enjoyed penning poems and short stories for as long as I can remember. Then somewhere a long the way, God put a story in my head, and I felt compelled to put it on paper. It had it's humble beginnings in a cheap spiral-bound notebook, but soon developed into a full-length novel entitled Singing Winds. This became my first published book, released July, 2007.
What inspired this story, other than the Creator, Himself, is my love of Native American culture and history. I'm a bit of a romantic, too.
