Since I finally came to my senses and realized that God gave me a gift to write, my life has taken on a whole new demension. It is wonderful to have a direction, and a means by which to worship the Lord. A favorite quote comes to mind: 'The greatest use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it' - James.

I was born and raised in the beautiful wine country of Northern California. I graduated from Healdsburg High in 1976 then joined the U.S. Army a year later. After three years I received an honorable discharge and moved back to Healdsburg. I met my husband, Robert, the following year. We got married in 1983 and we're still together! After 15 years of marriage, we adopted a baby girl, and she is truly a gift from God. We currently live in a small town in Shasta County. The town is so small it doesn't even have a traffic light or a gas station.
Although it took a few years to realize my God-given potential as a writer, I've enjoyed penning poems and short stories for as long as I can remember. Then somewhere a long the way, God put a story in my head, and I felt compelled to put it on paper. It had it's humble beginnings in a cheap spiral-bound notebook, but soon developed into a full-length novel entitled Singing Winds. This became my first published book, released July, 2007.
What inspired this story, other than the Creator, Himself, is my love of Native American culture and history. I'm a bit of a romantic, too.

I'm currently working on a contemporary romance called "Through The Eyes Of Liberty". It is about an optometry student from California who goes through a bad relationship. Her therapist suggests that she complete her externship somewhere where the need is great so she could get her mind off of her ex-boyfriend. She ends up on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Montana. Upon meeting a Blackfeet soldier who recently returned from Iraq, her world is turned upside down and all her plans to work in her father's upscale optical office are "tossed out the window". Through her experiences she learns to trust God and allow Him to map out her future. She realizes the hard way that even the best laid out plans aren't always the right ones.
