I am a costume designer by profession. A lover of the written word. I have always dabbled in poetry and short stories. It was the summer of 2003, that I began to write poetry from a spiritual, enlightened soul. I have become aware of my inner beauty and radiant spirit. I want to share my voice with the world, in order to be heard, and to help other people find their beautiful spirit. I have been blessed with a very peaceful and enlightened life. It is all a matter of choice. I send out positive energy, and in turn, receive positive energy..I believe in living a balanced and tranquil lifestyle. I also believe in the three fold rule, whatever you send out to the Universe comes back three times to you.
There are times in your life that you are at a crossroads, whether to stay in your stagnant lifestyle, or move forward toward the unknown.
I try to always embrace change, and the possibility of a better way of living. I am a free spirit, and I tend to fly toward that elusive rainbow.
I live in the spiritual world, always striving for peace, love, and lightness.
I have found a home here on Author's Den, not only for an outlet for my writing, but a feeling of the closeness of a family. We have a very tight community here and it makes sharing your inner feelings and desires very rewarding and comforting.
I want to thank all my friends and spiritual sisters/brothers for supporting my ups and downs.
May the Great Spirit guide you and bring you miracles that enhance and enlighten your everyday life here on this beautiful planet, Earth!
Peace, love, light, and Namaste,

(Native American author unknown)
I have recently began a journey to write a trilogy entitled, "Karena, Eagle Medicine Child". I was encouraged to write this series of young reader's books by many people, both young and old. I have traveled all over Connecticut, New York, Massachusettes, and Virginia to research Native American cultures during the time of Karena's birth (1583) up to when the English settlers came to America (Virginia) in 1607. There is little written history about this subject. I have spoken to many Native Americans and they have all told me that their history is passed down from generation to generation. Which in turn becomes "oral" history. It is astounding to me to hear all of this wonderful history spoken to me with honor and pride. I am starting my trilogy for young readers, and hope to be published soon.
In closing, I must say, for me, writing has captured the freedom of expression and love for our beautiful planet. I would like to urge all to do their part in saving our Mother Earth for future generations to come.
