KITTY is a writer of romance with a twist. No matter where she is, you'll probably see her jotting down notes because...writing is her passion. Kitty grew up in Brooklyn Heights, NY spending summers in Europe, the Catskills and East Hampton, NY. Growing up, her father’s rule for the summer was read books and write essays on them. Romance novels were not part of the mix but she sneaked them in and found herself writing her own stories that she shared with her friends.
After moving to NJ she landed a job working for a teamsters union and continued writing. Her tenure at the union introduced her to many interesting and dangerous situations as well as, some very influential and high profile people on both sides of the law. Her mentor and dear friend from the teamsters praised her writing and suggested she write a novel. He supported her every step of the way as she wrote her manuscript 'Hard Road to Love', rooting her on and editing. He loved the fact that her stories were ‘close to home’ as he would put it and made her promise to follow her dream and publish her work. Sadly, he passed away suddenly and a distraught Kitty put the manuscript away and stopped writing all together. A few years later she dreamt of him asking where her novel was and the next morning, she pulled the manuscript out and went over it and decided to start a new manuscript, 'A Lover’s Betrayal and Rebirth' and revisit 'Hard Road to Love' at a more appropriate time for her. He inspired her not only write Hard Road to Love which she is tweaking now, but also, 'A Lover’s Betrayal and Rebirth' and 'Six Women: Trials and Tribulations of Love'.
A publisher became interested in 'A Lover’s Betrayal and Rebirth' and began making many unnecessary changes to the manuscript that made Kitty believe the changes ruined her novel and made it someone else’s vision which didn't sit right with her. In true Kitty fashion she fought them tooth and nail and pulled her novel from their clutches and took other avenues to publish it.
‘Hard Road to Love’ and its sequel ‘One More Chance’ are both in the final stages of being tweaked to perfection by an editor. The two part series is filled with passion, dirty deals, affairs, revenge, murder, and dangerous secrets. Kitty feels writing romance novels is a form of cleansing the heart and soul and reading them is a wonderful way to be taken away, if only for a little while.
