My family background encouraged me to find my creative voice. I have been fortunate in that my parents are both very creative nd talented individuals and their love for he arts has rubbed off on me. They saw to it that I learned about the arts and the creative porcesses.

In the past year I have won over 25 awards for my poetry, reveived three publishing offers, and I was selected as Critic of the month for my critiquing and mentoring skills on a prominent poetry website.

I have a chapter of poetry coming out in the new Shadow Poetry Series book "Before The Last Shadow Fades." The book will be available in late November 2002. I have joined the Cafe Poetica Cooperative on poemtrain.com which is an online poetry society using peer mentoring to improve our skills.
