Background Information

I write about a variety of topics with a focus on spirituality, healing and wholeness. I am inspired most of all by nature, everyday miracles, and those few people whose kindnesses have changed me forever. You know who you are.

Among my many influences are John Milton, John Donne, William Blake, Emily Dickinson, Edgar Allen Poe, and Virginia Woolf. More recent authors who have influenced me: Annie Dillard, Kathleen Norris, Thomas Merton, Julia Cameron, Natalie Godlberg and Anne Lamott. Anita Shreve is my favorite fiction author.

I treasure the opportunity to use words, images and ideas to express who I am. I seek to create my life and to explore the world around me, making a difference where I can, by writing for my life, to my life, and through my life. As I cultivate a life of art, healing and faith, I continuously discover new territory and write what I find.
