Carol Roach, a native of Montreal, Canada grew up in poverty. It was these dire circumstances that motivated her to greater heights and influenced her two books. Picking up the Pieces: A Woman's Journey, chronicles her life from the very beginning to finally realizing her dream for a masters degree in Counseling Psychology. The book is an inspiration to anyone who has lost all hope yet is determined once again to finding it.
Angels Watching Over Me, her second book is a novel drawn on the life of a dear friend also living in poverty but showing strength of character that survives all odds.
Carol is highly influenced by the works of Charles Dickens and John Steinbeck, she illustrates the dire circumstances of the poor taking it to a new level; rising above our personal situations and succeeding in life through whatever means available to us.
