I have to be honest. When I was young, I lived, breathed, ate and slept sports. They were my life. The summer I was 16, my mother wouldn't let me do anything unless I was reading a book. My older brother had read the Shannara Books by Terry Brooks and told me about them, so I chose to read one of them. Every since, I have been hooked on reading. For a long time I would only read fantasy, so it is safe to say that J.R.R. Tolkien and Terry Brooks have been two of the biggest influences in my writing. I have branched out since my younger years and now enjoy a good story, no matter the genre.

My first novel Max and the Gatekeeper became available on September 12, 2007. Max and the Gatekeeper is now available in paperback. Hardcover books may soon be unavailable and with the limited number printed, they could be a great collector’s item. I am currently working on the sequel to Max and the Gatekeeper. The new title for sequel will be "Max and the Gatekeeper, The Hourglass of Soul." The sequel should be released in the spring. I'll try and post the release date soon.
