Author of espionage and suspense thrillers and self-confessed homemade pizza fanatic.

Background Information

BA Degree, Baker University (world religions) MA Degree, University of Houston Clear Lake (history) Former journalist (Los Angeles); over 130 articles published in "Lifeline," magazine of the Union Rescue Mission, based on interviews with the homeless and displaced of Los Angeles. Former Spudman (no laughing! I wrote a potato cookbook - The Spud Book - and toured the US as "Spudman," cooking potatoes for television audiences and celebrity hosts, including Regis Philbin and Pat Boone). Former smuggler and courier behind the old Iron Curtain. My writing was heavily influenced by the incredible places, faces, and experiences of the old Iron Curtain, plus my studies. I sometimes tell people I got a BA in BS because I'm annoyingly chatty and love asking questions.

The Identity Factor (Aria Publishers, Adelaide), Geopolitical thriller influenced by research from my Master's Degree at the University of Houston Clear Lake. Currently being adapted for film.

The Second Thirteen (called "Ludlumesque" by The Dallas Morning News and soon to be republished). Espionage thriller influenced by my experiences behind the old Iron Curtain.

Search for the Sword of St Peter (my first novel), an archaeological thriller, self-published with a grant from the Australian government (BA in BS).

Surviving cancer. I was told if I lived 18 months, I would probably live to be 100. That was in 1991, so I am happy to report, I am well on my way toward that goal.

Additional Information

I am an American who currently lives in Australia. My son is a sergeant in the US Marines, with two tours to Iraq. While there, he won a medal for heroism under fire.
