When I was a child, I grew a fascination for Bram Stoker's, Dracula. I didn't see the character as a terrible monster, but as a tortured soul, who, when everything was said and done, only wanted to be loved. So, he had a tendency to lean toward the dark side of romance. Over the years, that fascination grew to something more. Before I knew it, I was in love with any kind of paranormal romance. Vampires, werewolves, shape-shifters, ghosts or even wizards. You name it... I've dabbled in it. In my writing, that is.The first paranormal romance I ever read was actually from Linda Lael Miller. I read every one of her vampire romances and was completely hooked after that to any kind of romance that dealt in the supernatural. After her, I found Christine Feehan, then Sherilyn Kenyon. Of course, the list goes on. I am always on the lookout for their kind of stories. Not only because I love to read them, but also because I want to keep my stories different from theirs.I decided I wanted to pursue a story idea that would be a mixture of the kind of romance from those authors, as well as the same kind of twists and unexpected turns that can be found in Anne Rice's kind of stories. The result, I hope... is something that everyone who is into these kind of stories can enjoy.
