At 49 years of age, David D. Furlotte resides in Markham, Ontario, but spent most of his formative years in St. John's, Newfoundland and Montreal, Quebec. Two years after finishing a course in business communications with Seneca College he started a business that was instrumental in getting him to see the world for 15 years until 1996 when he sold the business.

David has traveled extensively throughout the world in his career as a Multimedia Project Manager, staging business events worldwide. He admits that this experience has given him great insight and help in writing, from the main character to his attention to detail.

David has been directly involved in marketing and communications areas with some of the largest corporations in Canada and has acted as advisor and consultant in addition to doing the same type of work portrayed by the main character in his books.

He has taught business marketing skills to students at Humber College and has taught multimedia presentation courses to students at his old alma mater, Seneca College.
