Barbara is a school librarian who is emerging as a children's author. Her first book, A Surprise for Baby Ruth (ISBN: 1-60-610-436-5) was published in July, 2008.
Barbara was born in Magee, Mississippi and attended school at Magee and Mendenhall public schools. She graduated from Mendenhall High School in 1971, earned her BA from Mississippi College, Clinton, MS in 1975 and started her career.

Barbara has been a storyteller and school librarian for many years. Books, authors and stories are a big part of her life. She believes that she has lived a thousand lives through the characters in books that she reads. Barbara will be a featured author at El Paso's Great Southwest Book Fair in October. Read more about this event below. Her book will debut at a book release party on August 30 at Doris Van Doren Public Library on Redd Road, El Paso, TX.
