I grew up on the Southside of Chicago, in some of the roughest communities that most people see on television. Writing was one of the ways i escaped negativity. In the third grade, my teacher gave me a journal, and i wrote in it extremely well. By the fifth grade, my mother purchased me a typewriter and that was the beginning of an inspiring author. From that day forward, I became a powerful writer and a voice in my community. It is said that I expel my pain and heart on a sheet of paper like no other. I am twenty years old and i am currently working on my third book. I will like to inform America that I don't have to be a product of my enviroment and plenty of other African American males want success so give us a chance.
