A 33-year veteran newspaper writer with the Albuquerque Journal, the largest and oldest daily in New Mexico, Aurelio Sanchez has begun to translate those real life stories accumulated over three decades of newspaper work into stories and poetry filled with offbeat characters and tinged with themes of found and lost love, cultural alienation and celebration, experiencing tragedy and overcoming obstacles, redemption and hope.

I have recently self published a collection of eight short stories at www.lulu.com, titled "The Warrior and the Street Fighter," about a pair of misfits who desecrate an evil priest's grave, and then must battle the priest back from the grave. Includes seven other stories. I have also recently self published a boot of poetry titled "Of a Dream Catcher," a collection of more than 50 poems.
