A harmonious and happy family life has always been my main objective in life. I am also privileged to be surrounded by canvases and the smell of fresh paint. My husband, Richard shares this passion with me even though our works are worlds apart. We enjoy the company of good friends.

Li Smith was raised on a farm in South Africa where her family grew many many of the foods they ate. Her holistic approach to life was nurtured by her mother who taught her the essentials of growing vegetables and herbs. Li studied art at the Johannesburg School of Art and obtained her National Art Teachers'Diploma in 1969. Li began to grow wheatgrass in 1978. She has witnessed many cases of dramatic healing among those consuming wheatgrass juice, including the reversal of high blood pressure, anemia, asthma and kidney dysfunction. Li has appeared on South African television and in People magazine promoting wheatgrass as a therapeutic superfood.
Richard Smith, Li's husband, is an internationally recognized cartoonist and painter working in numerous mediums.
