I grew up in a small town and lived for several years in The Grand Central Hotel. As a child, I saw many people come and go. By the age of twelve I was reading such things as "Rosemary's Baby" and "Salem's Lot" and was writing short stories based on people I'd met at the hotel. Some of the people were good. Others were not so good. It takes both kinds, I think, to make good fiction.
In my high school and college years I wrote songs for bands i played in. I was a guitarist and singer for a half dozen bands. We toured the Midwest at small bars and college parties. Along the way I penned a book of poetry: "Gasoline Rainbows." In 1999 I completed my first novella called: "The City." "Delinquent" is my first novel.
I released the novel in late December, 2007, and have had some success with online sales. Still, I am currently looking for a lit. agent to represent the book for bigger distribution.

Aaron Shigley's DELINQUENT
An odd coming of age story set in Southeastern Nebraska in the small town of Auburn. It is the story of a young boy, Eddy Day, who gets himself out of a bad situation, only to find himself in another. The story is saturated with mischief, sarcasm, off-beat humor, and dialog with often dark undertones.
