I was born in a small town in Maine, but moved to Maryland at age 2. I was raised in a rural area on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I married at 18, moved around the world with my husband. He was in the Air Force. We lived in Spain, Germany, Massachusetts, Colorado, and Delaware.
I was a foster mother while we lived in Germany. I was president of the Protestant Women of the Chapel at Wiesbaden. I was co-coordinator of the Red Cross volunteers, President of the TOPS group, secretary, then President of the Squadron Women's Club, and a member of the chapel choir. I had two children, one in Massachusetts, one in Spain.
