Every summer for fourteen years I lived on the Baskatong Reserve, Quebec CA, in a one window log cabin. My neighbors, First Nation People, lived in teepees. Deer, bear, and wolves were common. That experience provides a broad basis for my fascintion with Natives and is central to my writing. As a white man, I make no special claim that I understand Native ways. I do claim a recognition of their spirituality. I hold four earned degrees. The PH.D. is in the humanities. My primary interest areas are world mytholgy, native cultures, Jungian psychology, and the innate spirituality of the human being. I am the author and co-author of textbooks in the humanities and in the teaching of literature. Writing fiction is considerable more difficult than writing a textbook.
