Fata Alic was born in Srebrenica, a small town in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She came to the United States in June of 1997 with her husband and their little daughter.
She currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky with her husband and three children.

My major influence for writing is the war that happened in my country.
