Hello All, I am an imaginative, perceptive, energetic and creative being, hoping to use these skills toward a great writing career!

Background Information

I was born in London, England and moved to the USA when I was eight years old. I have lived in the New England area ever since. It is a great area for an artistic person to live. There are many sites and activities, such as exploring the coastline and museums, to inspire the imagination.  I have always had an active imagination and enjoy using it to create stories, great home cooked meals, and occasional art work, too!

My profession over the years has been in occupational therapy. I have worked in many settings during my career. These include mental health and nursing home settings, where I helped clients acquire or regain skills to live as independently as possible, and public school settings, where I help children function to their best ability in the school setting. I enjoyed the school settings the best, especially helping children improve both their hand writing skills (manuscript & cursive), and their ability to write a great story or factual essay.

Last year, maybe due to a mid-life crisis, LOL, I decided I needed a career change and left the field of occupational therapy! I tried starting my own home business, but did not find this a very good career choice for my creative personality. However, at the same time, I did a little information writing for a small social network site. I enjoyed doing the research and writing about various global events and holidays. Members seemed to enjoy what I wrote, as well. I also did some freelance blog writing. As this line of work truly appeals to me, I have started investigating how to make a living with my writing ability. A good friend told me about this site and treated me to the silver membership, so here I am!!!

Birth Place
London,  England

Although new to writing for a living, I have been told through the years, that my writing is imaginative and interesting to read. This goes from high school and collage, where my creative writing essays were often read to the class as good examples, to my students at the public schools telling me that they found the stories I wrote to encourage them write fun to read.

Additional Information

I have just published my first children's story as an e-book. The story contains educational information about gardening within a fun story about a year in the garden, which is told from the vantage point of the garden. See web site link below to see outtakes from the story.
