Pulp writer, Robert E. Howard, introduced me to the realm of fantasy when I picked up my first s&s story, "Beyond the Black River". Since then, there was no looking back. H.P Lovecraft, Edgar Allen Poe, and Anne Rice have all influenced me; George Orwell and Aldous Huxley taught me how to write forward looking and specualtive genre fiction. Jeff Shaara proved that historical fiction can be informative, and fun.
