Additional Information

I jot down ideas to remind myself at a later time just what it was that led me to jot down that idea. Ideas are notes on napkins, 3X5 cards and scraps that fill jacket pockets, glove compartment and night stand drawers. Once a month, maybe, or every couple months I assemble all my notes on the floor by my laptop. The good ideas, I save. The bad ideas, I save. The others are cycled back into my jacket pocket. Ideas find life in flash fiction use characters from friends, names from family members and places from home around Ridgeway,Virginia. Some are cast in precise molds of fixed form poetry, follow all the exact defined rules, yet defy the master’s reason with variation and wit. Others are put into rhyme easily accompanied with my harmonica or flat top guitar, both now rusty from the humidity here in Seattle. I read my writings at open mics modify content by reaction and submit them to the world. My motivation comes from family. Inspiration through my Hospice work, where patients have no need for bullshit nor passion to impress.
