I am a Canadian writer, based in Britain, and I began freelance writing at the turn of this new century. I've written mostly history, arts/music and human interest articles for Canadian and Irish newspapers and magazines including the Toronto Star, Mississauga News, Derry Journal, Banbridge Leader and Ireland's Own magazine.
I also contributed articles to an Irish local history publication, The Brookeborough Story, and the Fermanagh Authors Association's 2008 Miscellany. My short story, The Contest, was shortlisted and broadcast on the Downtown Radio (Belfast) 1998 Short Story Contest.

While I love many styles of writing, my fiction writing has been influenced by writers such as Maeve Binchy, Alice Taylor, Michael McLaverty and Robert Ryan.
