I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from SUNY Cobleskill, and worked as a preschool teacher for many years. My "Kiddie Lit" professor, Dr. Sylvia Mallory, made an indelible impression, as she encouraged me to create my own picture books.
My first children's picture book, Wishing Stars, is on the market. I am currently working on illustrations for Moonlight Dance. I am a contributing author/illustrator of My Light Magazine. My paintings are done in acrylics, with touches of nature added for texture.
As a member of the Long Island Authors Group, I serve as 1st Vice President on their board of directors. I also belong to the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, as well as the Long Island Children's Writers and Illustrators.
I'm also lucky to work with school-aged children every day, as a Supervisor with SCOPE Education Services at South Grove Elementary School in Syosset.
