My favorite sayings are "A blank piece of paper is God's way of telling us how hard it is to be God." by Sidney Sheldon and life happens to me in between drafts. I'm a comical, type-A, nervous wreck when I'm not writing.
Hi, my name is Joyce. My nickname is Winged. I have through the decade searched for joy and identity through creative self-expression. I personally believe being happily engaged in writing and art making is better than not; and secondly, living without depression, pain and anger is better than living with them. If you're doing something artful, and smiling, look out, you're probably having fun.
I am 65, retired and making sterling silver and gold rings that shine with my love for the Arts. You can find me daily at www.wingedforhealing.com and here at www.Authorsden.com/joyce where I maintain all my writing, poetry and sell my two books I've managed to author on Art Therapy & Poem Therapy. I also write for Angie's Diary, an on-line magazine at www.Angiesdiary.com/author/joycewhite. Between my jewelry making and the pages of my writing, I raise my grandchildren. Thank you for your interest in m y work.
Every word written is a victory against dysfunction. Not everybody gets a second chance at living a worthwhile life. I thankfully, did. Writing and making jewelry put me in touch with my inner artist who was choking to create a new me, a happy, self-achieving me. I've been slowly and quietly growing and changing into the person I've always wanted to be, a writer, a poet, a wire artist who excels at Wearable Art like rings and earrings that make people smile; and last but not least, I am an authority on surviving depression with Art Therapy. I'm Winged for Healing.
Need a book review? I offer professional book reviews for $25.00 and my Sterling Silver & Gold rings at my website.

Uplifted by Angels...is a poem I wrote I'd like to introduce myself with:I pray to be a celestial artisan, that my soul sprinkled with passionate thoughts of God's love, when I'm tired, let their angelic wings fan me with healing energetic breezes, light my eyes with the lamps from God so I can see what is right or wrong, bless me with "celestial" knowing, wit, wryness, color and an angelic sense of timing, and let my optimism fall like seeds to the moist warm ground and take root in the footsteps of others.
