Jeanne has a BA from University of California Berkeley in German and a MA from San Francisco State University in Humanities.

Jeanne has published over 150 poems in local and national magazines, such as Southern Poetry Review, Atlanta Review, Spoon River, Nimrod, Poet Lore and Quarterly Review. She had four collections of poetry: "The Falling Woman" from Pudding House Press, "The Zen Piano-mover," winner of the Stevens Manuscript Award, "The Conjurer" from Anabiosis Press and "Medusa in Therapy" from Poets Corner Press.
