Linda Buskey LeBlanc was born in Syracuse, New York. She holds and M.A. in British Literature, taught high school English and creative writing for twenty-six years, as well as journalism and film. Linda has studied poetry since 1999 in workshops at the University of Massachusetts, Boston--the William F. Joiner Center, the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center, Vermont College Post-Graduate Writers' Conference, the Cape Cod Writers' Conference, the Santa Barbara Writers' Conference, the Virginia Piper Arizona State Writers Conference among others. She has served on the editorial board of the literary quarterly, Rosebud.
Linda is a member of the Cape Cod Writers' Center, the New England Poetry Club, the Concord Poetry Center, the National League of American Pen Women. On Trains, currently in 21 states and 8 foreign countries since its release by Codfish Press in January 2008, consists of literary and accessible lyrics and narratives with universal appeal.
Accomplishments: *Selected as one of three first books and authors to feature at the Jeff Male Memorial Reading at the University of Massachusetts-Boston, William Joiner Center in June 2008.
*Featured as one of 12 Cape Cod authors in the Sunday Book Section of the Cape Cod Times on 11-16-08.
*To give special poetry reading of Hawaiian related and selected poems, Sunday, May 24, 2009,1p-4p at Second Stage Studio Gallery, in Cumberland, RI for Artist, Ann Gommers Reception to introduce her new series of Hawaiin paintings.
