My groundbreaking new book "Counteract the Fat" was released on August 27, 2008, and was just made available for sale on Amazon.com on November 13, 2008. In this book, I discuss the ways in which the fiber, antioxidants and other chemicals that are found in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans can lower your risk of chronic diseases without severely restrictive dieting. For example, Dr. James W. Anderson - along with his associates - conducted a study at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. The study was conducted on a group of individuals with high cholesterol levels. These individuals had been eating high-fat diets for years. Rather than change these individuals' diets, Dr. Anderson simply added slightly more than one cup of a certain type of whole grains to these individuals' high-fat diets. As a result, these individuals' cholesterol readings were reduced by an impressive 20%. There is a certain type of fiber found in certain types of whole grains that can help lower cholesterol (or maintain a healthy cholesterol) and maintain a healthy body weight - even in a high-fat diet. "Counteract the Fat" provides complete information on this type of fiber, and the types of whole grains that the fiber is found in and MUCH, MUCH MORE. This does not mean that you can eat all of the high-fat foods you want everyday. What it does mean is that you will have greater freedom in making food choices. The information was taken from medical journals and is based on exclusive interviews that I have conducted with scientists. I also share my personal story on how I was able to utilize the information in the journals to lower my own risk of chronic diseases without severely restrictive dieting, and have been doing so for nearly ten years (since 1999).
I also lecture and lead seminars about the concepts of "Counteract the Fat" in northern Illinois. I will be leading my third seminar this Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Oak Park Public Library at 834 Lake St. in Oak Park, Illinois. The seminar will take place from 11:30a.m. to 12:30p.m. on the third floor in study room #3C. Reservations are required. If you live in or near Oak Park, Illinois, and would like to attend, just e-mail your reservation to NewEraPublishers@Gmail.com with "seminar reservation 11/22" in the subject line. You will receive a confirmation within 24 business hours after your reservation has been received.
