Oh I'm just a fledgling author with grandiose dreams that stem from being an eight year old boy at one time in my life. An eight year old who loved to read, who started writing a book about the flowerpot who ruled the garden and fell in love with the sunflowers. An eight year old boy whose most vivid memory of primary school is of his teacher declaring to the world that I had a reading age of 16, that the other kids should take the fact that I read a new book every day as an example.
Those days are long gone, but my dreams remain, and I will achieve them. My love of the English language remains. My desire for an equal or better Scrabble partner untamed.
My major influences are all the authors that have gone before me. From the crafted plotters to the futurists. 1984 and Animal Farm and Day of The Triffids, through to the humour of Tom Sharpe and Bill Bryson, the detailed horror of Stephen King, and teh excellent Christopher Moore - If you ever get a chance to read "Practical Demon Keeping", you will not regret it.
