Behind the pen I’m brave.

Tie it up in a pretty parcel of fiction.
I can say what I dare not speak.
I can express what I dare not feel.
I can lure you into my make
believe world.
Or is it?
My fears can be closed with the pages.
My love can be safe within words.
My heart can’t be broken.
My mind can’t be hurt.
My life is safe.

Welcome to the strange world of a species known as the 'Writer'. A place where imaginary friends - and enemies - dwell inside a never quiet mind. Tapping continuously on the inside until their knocking is answered and they can escape from within onto the pages of a novel. Here these imaginary friends - and enemies - take on a life of their own. Fleeing the confines of the writer's mind to invade the psyche of a reader. They continue to morph, breathing into existence, ever changing in the eyes of the next to meet them, and remaining in their created world of fiction long after the covers are closed. Once born they can never die. An astounding achievement for something, which technically, has never lived.
